Using the edge slicker by rubbing it back and forth will burnish

the edge of leather or close the loose fibers so they don't fray.

The leather edges should be moistened first.

If they are to dry or wet it will not work as well.

If the leather is to wide for this tool a bone folder will work

also by rubbing the leather back and forth lengthwise.

Be sure to bevel edges first with edge beveler.

The centre of this slicker has a hole that will enable you to place

a rivet or similar bolt and use on a drill for quicker results.
