To safely install the IGNIS® EB6200 Ethanol Fireplace Burner Insert, the following MUST be adhered to:
Prior to purchasing this fireplace burner insert, we suggest that the following information be verified. Should the conditions related to your project not comply with the following, please reach out to the IGNIS® fireplace professionals who will assist you in finding the fireplace solution that is safe and fulfills your objectives. THIS VENTLESS FIREPLACE INSERT MUST ONLY BE INSTALLED INTO NON-COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL SUCH AS CONCRETE BACKERBOARD, BRICK, STONE, OR ANY OTHER MATERIAL INCAPABLE OF IGNITING. ADHERENCE TO ALL CLEARANCES IS REQUIRED FOR SAFE INSTALLATION.
1. Should regulations apply, verify this fireplace burner is acceptable to use in your city, town, county, or state.
2. There is a minimum area of 4,800 cubic feet in the space where the installation of the fireplace burner is proposed.
3.There is a minimum 70.2” width, 11.1” depth, and 30” overhead in the proposed installation area to accommodate the burner and required clearance.
4. In the proposed design there are no materials that are combustible (capable of burning) within a 24” radius of the fireplace burner’s flame opening.
5. In designs where there is a television, or the like, with proposed placement above the fireplace burner, there is no less than 30” between the fireplace burner’s flame opening and the bottom of the television. A mantle or shelf-like structure has been considered for placement between the appliances.
6. There are no windows, forced air vents, sliding glass doors, or drapery within 80” of the fireplace burner’s edges.
7. There is nothing proposed for the space around the fireplace up to 40”.
8. The proposed design places the top of the fireplace burner at least 36” from the floor.
9. The proposed design places the top of the fireplace burner at least 40” from the ceiling.
