DIMENSIONS:

DESCRIPTION:
Produced from 1956 to 1964, this adorable, playful baby deer, a scarce 2nd edition issued by the German firm Steiff, produced post-WWII after Walt Disney's famous Bambi animated character, has no condition issues and the fabric cover and stuffing remain soft and pliable. There's no stitching loss or weakening along any of the edges and the colors remain largely vivid, saturated and lush. The hand painted orange coloring found behind the black glass eyes is without loss or interruption, as are the black, hand painted details of the deer's entire body face, legs and hooves. The underside of the deer is also without any kinds of stains or noticeable soiling. The edges of the four hooves, their undersides and the tips of the ears and nose, are remarkably without any issues or degree of soiling. If this Steiff vintage stuffed, floppy eared baby deer was even played with, it was done so with great care and lovingly. It was clearly not abused and most likely wasn't in the possession of a younger child but of an older one, who cherished her Steiff baby deer. With the figuration that made Steiff German stuffed animals famous. Fine.

CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall vintage condition. With really no condition issues to report. Affixed Steiff (Germany) metal maker's pin in one ear. With no stains, rips or holes.
