1 62DP KEY BLANK FOR:

AC Ace, Arnold-Bristol, Aston Martin, Austin Healey, Daimler, Hillman, Humber, Jaguar, Lotus, MG MGA and early MGB, early Austin Mini, Morgan, Morris, Nash Metropolitan, Rover, Riley, Triumph TR2 and TR3, Wolseley, and OTHER British makes

English Fords: 1955-mid sixties

CODE SERIES:  FP-626-750

This small UNION-Style key works on LOTS of British makes in the 60's using the Lucas Ignition switch.  It has grooves on BOTH sides, unlike earlier versions.  It was has the part number of 62DP, UN2, UN3, and Taylor 62DL.  It will also interchange with the key part# H62DP which has the same keyway, but with a wide bow, or the S62DP with a narrow bow.  If you prefer these alternate bow styles, they are available in my ebay store.   If your keys have one of these previously mentioned part numbers on them, you have the right key.

If not, compare the grooves of your key vs. the pictures closely as they must match exactly front and back.  These same manufacturers also used keys with the codes of 62DG, 62FS, and 62FT...if your keys have these codes on them, then this key will not work (See pic #4-6!).   Unfortunately, the British manufacturers were not consistent so it is difficult to determine an exact match without the codes matching up.  Look at the pictures very carefully before purchasing, comparing the position and width of the grooves on both sides of the key.  Don't hesitate to send me a picture of your current working key and I can give you options on which one would work best.

Another clue that this key will work for your application is if your current working key has a key code manually stamped on it with "FP" followed by 3 numbers from 626 to 750.  It is also possible to find your key code STAMPED on your ignition bezel.

Check my other auctions as I will be putting up lots more interesting classic keys in the upcoming days! I am a collector who purchases vintage lots of keys. If you have anything special available, I would love to hear from you. Please ask questions and look closely at both front and back grooves on the pictured key prior to bid as I want you to be happy with your purchase.

Thanks for looking and HAPPY MOTORING!
