Empire Mahogany Table Marble Top  2 drawer Paw Feet 19th Century 

The piece of mahogany, fitted with a   fine   grey striated marble top.
This table rests on a handsome acanthus leaf carved pedestal with four out-swept carved paw feet with carvings.

The small End table has two drawers with rounded knobs.

 Condition: Good condition except one side has some damage to wood. See photos

The Acanthus Carved  Pedestal Base and Paw Feet (Circa: 1840)   is a beautiful Classical Flame Mahogany Table weighs approximately 40 pounds . The pedestal  has beautiful masterfully carved bulbous Acanthus   pineapple    design  that culminates into four  handsome carved hairy paw feet.

 It is sturdy and ready for many more years of use.

This table was  from my  family  home and  its ornately decorative   curves  show a lovely decorated element of classical style and fine  artistry.
