Description

This is an antique circa early 1900's amber glass apothecary bottle with a glass stopper. made by Whitall Tatum Company, Millville, N.J. - the 1st glass company in USA.  It is 10" high to top of stopper. small mouth with a ground glass shank stopper & with indenture on front for the label. Made in the popular amber glass for it's light protecting qualities.  The small mouth is for pouring liquid contents out or for pills.  It was found at a New Jersey demolition site where my brother's construction company was tearing down an abandoned building. He found cases of these apothecary bottles - alot were smashed but he managed to save a couple of boxes
