Charming Chamberstick Candle Holder with finger holder. Handpainted floral design, gold trim, glaze has a luster look. 3 1/2" high, 2 1/2" square at is base.
Research tells me that the maker's mark was from a family factory in Austria which began around the late 1800's. P.H. Leonard was a New York importer known for importing high quality, Bohemian, Austrian, French pieces. He went bankrupt in the early 1900's and subsequent importers were Bawo & Dotter. followed by Charles Dwenger and finally Paul A Straub (1915-1970). Logically no one can say who was the importer for this piece specifically based on the same mark which was used through out the time period, so cannot determine the age of this piece. Just know that it is a lovely piece in excellent condition.
