For sale here is an original rare vintage roll down lithographic school chart of
MITE
Published by Martinus Nijhoff in Holland between 1920-1950.

The artist was Dr Paul Pfurtscheller (1955-1927) an Austrian zoologist, he produced a series of 39 zoological prints for use in higher education.

The off set lithographic technique of printing gives fantastic detail with sharp lines an great colours.

This chart is a collectors item, you can find a few of them on other auction and antique sites where they fetch between £400-£2000

  • Size(approx)

Width (including poles):122cm/58"

Length: 142cm/55"

(without poles 120 x 136cm)

  • CONDITION

Printed on 2 pieces of paper joined at the back and covered with linen it has black wooden poles top and bottom.

This chart has spent most of its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright, this is in part due to the lithographic technique of printing, which allows for incredible depth of colour.

Obviously these charts are not new

so please check all photos before purchase

There may be wear that comes with age.

The overall condition of this chart is good, there are sa few small holes that look like they have been made by staples and i think it has been cropped down the sides slightly at some point in it's life.

We have many other charts and maps for sale so be sure to check out our shop.
