1985 G.I. JOE COBRA FERRET
This
vehicle is clean, most of the stickers have been applied and are in good condition. Nothing has
been glued or repaired.
Both red missiles have all their fins and
fit snug to both intact tabs on the actual body, the rear storage
cover is present, both black fender flares fit snug, the red slug
cannon fits tight and the CUSTOM AFTERMARKET hose fits well. The handle bars still
move the front dual cannon in front smoothly, all 4 wheels are in
good condition are attached fine and roll well the bottom housing and
exhaust connect well to the upper body. The black seat cover fits
snug. No surprises.

High Speed Reconnaissance / All Terrain Vehicle)
The Ferret is Cobra's answer to the G.I. Joe R.A.M. Though this 4-wheeler cannot match the R.A.M.'s speed, it makes up for it with its all-terrain capability and firepower. While it can traverse practically any terrain, it's sorely lacking in armor. As a quad bike, it is best suited for light infantry and security detail.
The Cobra Ferret was designed with speed in mind. Used primarily for reconnaissance and well known for its high speeds over difficult terrain and overall ease of use. Although considered a staple of Cobra's Mechanized forces, the Ferret found itself adopted by the Crimson Guard and it's Commanders Tomax and Xamot, at a time when the Crimson Guard were just starting out. With it's high speed capabilities the Crimson Guard were able to use it for insertions and quick get-a-ways. Through many years now the Ferret has remained current in Cobra's vast mechanized divisions and with only minimal, necessary, weapons and systems upgrades.
Extremely versatile and well armed for such a light vehicle, the Ferret's only downfall is it's lack of protection for it's driver.
The
Cobra Ferret is a powerful quad bike with flexible, off-road tires,
one-piece welded steel wheels, a 6 forward-speed transmission, and a
free-floating transverse front suspension. The bike is powered by a
16-valve liquid-cooled 115 hp 4-cycle engine. This 4-wheeler is armed
with driver-controlled twin .50 caliber machine guns, a side-slung
electric CMF-1 10-round grenade launcher, and 2 laser-seeking
"Com-Bat" rockets.
Armor, Specs and Ordinance
They are lightweight and heavily armed, and can be used for a variety of purposes, from high speed raids to simple sentry work. Cobra's Ferrets have the following vehicular characteristics:
Cobra-band Radio: Cobra gear uses a communication system of its own, not beholden to conventional broadcast standards. The Ferret in particular has comm gear with a Poor range (25 miles), and benefits from Excellent ranked signal encryption as well.
Com-Bat Rockets: the Ferret has two small rockets mounted between its off-road tires. These rockets are 'laser seeking' projectiles, meaning they fly towards any target highlighted with a targeting beam.
Machine Guns: the Ferret has twinned 20mm machine guns mounted on the front, which is aimed by the steering wheel; it points at whatever the wheel is. It can be fired to inflict Excellent Shooting damage in a short burst, or Remarkable Shooting damage full-auto.
Side Slug Cannon: this long-barreled cannon is mounted on the side of the Ferret, resting to the driver's left. It can be loaded with up to ten 50mm shells, each of which can be fired to inflict Remarkable Shooting damage, but can only hit whatever is in front of the Ferret.

screw rust. The chest and head Cobra emblems are intact bright.
Appearance: grey helmet with red Cobra emblem, front; grey shirt and pants with two black straps; black -mask, black gloves, and black boots. Red Cobra insignia on chest.
Accessories: aftermarket black Dragonuv rifle and black backpack, and the figure stand pictured is included. The 1991 IMPEL card #51 is near mint, the vintage Cobra Enemy game card is in very good condition and both are great for display.

battle. Many are also believed to be operating as spies at defense
plants, nuclear power facilities, etc. All are martial arts experts,
masters of disguise, deceit, and demolitions. Graduated: COBRA

The original Cobra vehicle drivers can be described as a more professional lot than the many single specialty operators Cobra has today. You can expect them to be competent front-line fighters and commanders. The Stinger Drivers are pooled from Cobra Officers and also perform the same functions in addition to their armory and driving skills. They have to be. While their normally assigned vehicle is the Stinger, they are expected to be able to operate other vehicles in their armory and it takes a certain discipline to be able to master them all.
