How to change it:

Step 1. Remove your original factory gear knob from the shifter, there is a metal ring below, which is factory flattened. You must remove it and the knob can be pulled up. 

Step 2. Below the knob, there is a plastic ring that holds the leather gaiter to the knob. Remove it and change old with the new knob.

Step 3. Put the new frame gaiter with shift knob to the spot and you are ready.
