Pair of Antique Oak Fiddle-back Dining Chairs w/Caned Seats

* The list price is for the pair of chairs shown in the first 8 photos. The 3rd chair in the last 4 photos has damaged caning and would make the set have an odd number so it's not included. However, if you are planning on buying the pair and want buy it also, we could sell it for an additional $100.

Handsome, solid wood, antique dining chairs salvaged from Central CT. Each chair is made of solid oak and is stained and finished (unpainted). They have fiddle-shaped backrests and caned seats. If you look closely, you'll notice the front 2 feet have carvings which make them look like a animal paws--what lovely details!

Our carpenter inspected all chairs from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs. He just tightened the screws for good measure, but didn't need to glue or reinforce anything as the chairs are strong and sturdy.

Considering their age, the chairs are in great condition with only the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used chairs. One chair has a small crack behind the top of the backrest (see close up photo). The crack is just a visual blemish and not a structural threat. The crack itself was glued long ago and there is no looseness or play in that area. There are no breaks, gouges, rot, or warp. The caning on both seats is intact and tight. Even their finish is great shape. The chairs are ready for another lifetime of service.
