PEARL CHINA
4-Cup Teapot, Sugar Bowl, Creamer
Glossy Black, Gold Filigree Trim

This listing is for a very ornate glossy black teapot with matching creamer and sugar bowl, with elaborate gold filigree decoration and gold trim. The maker is Pearl China, an interesting china producer in the 1940s and 1950s, based in East Liverpool, Ohio, and having vague affiliations with Pioneer Pottery Company and perhaps Hall China. This set screams 1950s elegance, with a very decorative shape (butterfly-wing handles), extended spouts, and swirls on the side, all decorated with gold garlands and flowers.

The teapot easily holds 4 cups (32 fluid ounces). It measures 5 inches high at the top of the spout, 10.5 inches from handle edge to spout tip, 4 inches wide across the rim outer edge, and 7 inches wide across the lower edge of the body. It is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is a bit of wear to the top of the handle on the lid, but the gold trim is fairly solid and makes a nice, subtle display.

The creamer is 6 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3.5 inches high at the tallest part. The sugar bowl is 6-7/8 inches wide across the handles, about 4 inches wide, and 3.5 inches high at the top of the handles. Both pieces are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or wear. The gold trim on the sugar bowl and creamer is very intact.

All three pieces have a gold sea shell logo with "Pearl | China | Hand Decorated | 22 Kt Gold | U.S.A."
