Two works by Margoliot-Jaffe (1802-1864), a Hungarian rabbi. Both works are rare, the first pertaining to the Jewish calendar, the second being a commentary on the Old Testament. Margoliot-Jaffe studied under Moses Sofer. He reveals a deep knowledge of astronomy and mathematics in his first work, Hazan la-Mo’ed, when he examines the Hilkhot Kiddush ha-Hodesh of Maimondes’ Mishneh Torah.

Uncommon. We could locate no other examples of this work in the marketplace nor in institutional holdings.
