A First Period Worcester porcelain teabowl and saucer painted in underglaze blue with the Mansfield pattern, circa 1770. This beautiful floral pattern features a large trailing peony in bloom and has an elaborate scrolled border. Both pieces have a painted crescent mark to the base.

Saucer diameter 12 cm (4.72”); teabowl diameter 7.3 cm (2.87”), height 4.5 cm (1.75”).

Condition: good display condition. No restoration but with a tiny rim nibble to the saucer. The teabowl is in sound condition with minor blurring to the pattern in places, however, the inside of the teabowl has noticeable glaze scratches with some discolouration, as shown.
