7 Vintage 1950's
Placemats Pontiac Indians
Courtesy of Pontiac Auto Dealer

The Pontiac automobile took its name from the Ottawa Indian chief Pontiac. The first Pontiac automobile was manufactured in Pontiac, Michigan - the city where the famous Indian chief had also given his name.

These paper placemats were advertising for the Pontiac automobile, issued as a "courtesy of your Pontiac dealer."

Each placemat is 16 1/4" by 11". All 7 of them are identical. They are colorful and rich with U.S. history. The placemats would be particularly nice to use at Thanksgiving.
