This auction is for a framed magazine proof that was used for a review for the first issue in 1978 of Omni Magazine.  This was a preliminary layout board and features an ad for the 1978 Ford Futura and a black and white image of Bob Guccione.  The text shown below and next to the image has no content; it appears to have been inserted to get the desired spacing for the magazine pages.  As pictured, the pages are numbered "7" and "6" at the bottom, which the seller believes would have been the page numbers for that magazine issue.  On the back is written in pen "NOVA LAYOUT BOARD #3" and there is a paper tag that is marked "KORDET GRAPHICS OCEANSIDE, NEW YORK   PENTHOUSE NOVA".  The original name for this magazine was going to be "NOVA", but for legal reasons it had to be changed to Omni Magazine, which was a groundbreaking science magazine published from 1978 until the mid 1990s. The publication of this magazine stopped in late 1997 following the death of co-founder, Kathy Keeton, wife of Bob Guccione. Mr. Gucionne was an artist, a photographer, and a magazine publisher who died in 2010. The frame measures 22 inches in width and 16 inches in height.  The frame is in good condition except for some slight scratches on the right hand side. Study the pictures carefully as there are no returns.  This seller does not ship internationally.
