This is a spectacularly beautiful, & incredibly rare classic Antique ring in astonishing condition for its age, the photos do no justice to it whatsoever. .
This is a very special, beautifully made ring, the workmanship is sublime, the proportions are spot on, I
can simply find no fault with it. The setting is pure Georgian to
Victorian heaven, I have never seen another to came anywhere close to it
& the highly polished cabochon Tigers Eye is fabulous, showing a
perfectly centralized bright luminous "Iris".
The
setting would just as easily suit a far more expensive stone, I feel
that this was crafted by a jeweler at the very top of his trade, it is almost worth buying this ring if only for the setting which shows a pair of sublimely crafted curling leaves to each side of the shank .
The stone measures 1.6mmx1cm (5"x.3"),
& is held in place by 4 claws, above a beautifully carved basket
setting, a pair of curling beautifully crafted leaves decorating each
shoulder, the stone standing around 1cm above the finger.
14K stamped to the inside of the shank, there are no another hallmark or makers marks which is a shame, It measures around 1.6-7mm (around .5") side to side across the INSIDE of the band ,.A
beautiful elegant heirloom ring. The box in the photos is included, but
could unearth a vintage box is the buyer would prefer for a small cost.
I
will happily accept a return if the ring is in any way unsuitable, but
on condition that you contact me within 3 days of arrival, & will
also accept payment via IBAN or bank transfer. Any questions, please
don't hesitate to get in touch.
