The Speedpack 480 is a top tube-mounted storage pack that is designed to
actually improve the aerodynamics of your road, triathlon, or time trial bike.
Wind tunnel testing has shown that, depending on the bike and stem design, an
advanced shape top tube bento-type pack can actually reduce a bike's aero
drag by reducing the low pressure area behind the stem. And reducing drag means more speed at a given power output.
To maximize the aero advantages of the Speedpack 480, we gave it an advanced
computer-designed aero shape that is unlike that of any other top
tube storage pack. The 480 also has a wide range of unique features
that reduce drag, improve on-bike stability, ease
usability, and maintain high durability--please see our full
feature list below. (Note:
if your bike has top tube entry aero cabling where cables enter the top
tube vertically just behind the stem, you may get a better
fit with the Speedpack 483. But a single top tube
brake cable that's oriented horizontally, parallel to the
top tube, won't cause
any issues for a Speedpack 480).

Three bottom velcro
straps hold Speedpack securely to top tube and provide
mounting options even on unusually-shaped frames. Two
narrow front velcro straps allow for maximum flexibility for
aero attachment to stem and steerer. Front straps can
also be attached to vertical top tube entry shift/brake
cables.
Aerodynamic hidden YKK zipper
with dual two-way sliders allow easy access to your gear.
Tough coated nylon
sides resist water and abrasion. Full-length
rubberized bottom grips top tube to keep Speedpack in
position. Custom shaped HDPE plastic insert and
high-density closed cell foam side panels keep aero shape,
protect cargo and provide insulation.
