For auction is a fabulous piece of Art Glass made by Phoenix Studios of California. The piece is called a "Jack in the Pulpit" (JIP) art glass vase. The "JIP" is a rather large one as it stands an Impressive 10" 3/4" tall and the face of the Pulpit has a diameter of 7 1/2". The bottom or foot of the vase has just shy of 4" at 3 15/16" in diameter.

The vase displays that original Tiffany Studio's New York decorated JIP look. It has a round foot in which a stem is pulled up and the face is stretched like a Jack in the Pulpit flower. This is done as a solid piece (1) of glass. The blue Favrile, Aurene iridescence is just outstanding!! The foot has a velvet finish with the upper portion being much more vibrant and iridized. You can see beautiful hues of Purples, Gold and Fuchsia all over the JIP. The base glass is a deep Cobalt blue and when you look at the back of the JIP it really pops. It has a Peacock feather pattern surround the entire outer edge. There are 8 pairs of these 2 part feathers. It is just a spectacular piece of Art Glass!!

This piece of glass is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are some in the making nuances but nothing obtrusive. This Jack in the Pulpit is signed on the bottom with a "Phoenix Studios Carl Radke" round foil label. It also has an etched artist signature that reads; Carl Radke "15". This means the piece was made in 2015. Carl Radke is very much a gifted contemporary artist that produces Art Glass vases similar in quality to the glass blowers from Tiffany, Steuben, and Quezal. His works are in many Museums across the nation. To my knowledge this pattern style has been retired.

This vase is an investment in today's Artist's that will surely become tomorrow's Heirlooms. Those of you who collect Art Glass know that the Blue examples are worth substantially more than their gold counter parts. This simply is because, gold ones sell much better than blue ones and subsequently there are a lot fewer examples of blue. I'm quite sure the buyer will not be disappointed. This vase will enhance any art glass collection.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of  2020. I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the merchandise unless it is paid for.

They are also now charging all sellers a commission of 12% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 12%. This is an increase of 9.1% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 12% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.

If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
