Model: Tiger I

Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf. E Sd.Kfz.181 Early Production

WWII German Heavy Tank No.131

North Africa 1942 Desert Tone

The infamous German heavy tank with its powerful 88MM high volosity main gun and 100MM frontal armor weighing 57 ton was no threat to any enemy tanks at the time. This intimidating huge Tiger is almost twice the size of a American Sherman tank. The 88MM main gun can stricke an enemy up to 3Km before they can have any effect on them. It first appeared in North Africa front in 1942 and continue to the end of the war.

This model I assembled is painted with realistic battlefield fatigue and weathering effects. Using military factory color specifications, my techniques use various paint washes with rust and oil streaking grime and a final touch using various dry earth and metal like pigments.

This 1/35 scale model tank features adjustable gun barrel and turret. All door hatches, road wheels and track are static. No interior details. Weights is added to the interior for a solid feel .

Thank you for viewing a model from my military miniature collection.
