DESCRIPTION:  THIS ARTWORK WAS CREATED IN PARIS FRANCE BY SALVADOR DALI, JOSEPH FORET AND FERNAND MOURLOT AFTER A GOUACHE THAT DALI CREATED FOR THIS EDITION.  THE LITHOGRAPH IS AN IMPRESSIVE 20 COLORS PRINTED BY FERNAND MOURLOT.  TWENTY COLOR PLATES WERE EACH CAREFULLY HAND PRINTED AT THE FAMOUS MOURLOT STUDIO IN PARIS IN ORDER TO CREATE THIS AWESOME WORK   AFTER THE PRINTING OF THE LITHOGRAPH, AN ORIGINAL DRYPOINT ENGRAVING AND EMBOSSING CREATED BY DALI WAS ADDED TO THE ARTWORK AS WELL.  THEREFORE, THIS ARTWORK IS AN IMPRESSIVE MIXED MEDIA WORK BY DALI WITH LITHOGRAPHY, AN ORIGINAL DRYPOINT ENGRAVING, AND EMBOSSING.  THE EMBOSSING ADDS A UNIQUE THREE DIMENSIONAL ELEMENT TO THE ARTWORK.  THE ARTWORK IS HAND SIGNED IN PENCIL BY SALVADOR DALI IN THE LOWER RIGHT QUADRANT.  THE ARTWORK IS ALSO HAND SIGNED IN PENCIL BY JOSEPH FORET IN THE LOWER LEFT QUADRANT.  THE STUDIO STAMP OF JOSEPH FORET IS STAMPED ON THE VERSO.  THE PAPER IS WATERMARKED ARCHES SCRIPT PAPER.

TIRAGE:  THE WORLDWIDE TIRAGE OUTSTANDING WAS LIMITED TO 217 PLUS PROOFS.  THIS EXEMPLAR IS MARKED EA IN THE LOWER RIGHT QUADRANT AND IS AN ARTISTS PROOF OR EPREUVE D'ARTISTE.  EXAMPLES OF THIS ARTWORK ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND ARE CONSIDERED FINE ART INVESTMENTS WHICH WILL APPRECIATE AS A LONG TERM ASSET FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.   

DIMENSIONS:  THE SHEET IS AN IMPRESSIVE 29 1/4 X 36 3/4 INCHES.  THE PLATE IMAGE IS IS 22 1/2 X 30 INCHES.  ALTHOUGH THE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE WORK IN ITS PRIOR FRAME, THE FRAME HAS BEEN DISCARDED AND THIS ARTWORK WILL BE SOLD UNFRAMED.  ARTWORK WILL BE SHIPPED IN A WIDE DIAMETER SECURE ART TUBE.

CONDITION:  THIS LITHOGRAPH IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH FULL BRIGHT COLORS AND NO TEARS, OR FOXING.  THE MARGINS ARE CLEAN.  THE IMAGE IS EVENLY LIGHT STRUCK FROM UV LIGHT EXPOSURE WHICH HAS EVENLY DARKENED THE IMAGE SLIGHTLY.  THE UV TONING IS AN EVEN RECTANGLE AND THIS ARTWORK IS SUITABLE TO BE FLOAT FRAMED IN ORDER TO DISPLAY THE ENTIRE BEAUTY OF THIS FINE ARTWORK, HOWEVER, A MATTED FRAME WOULD BE THE BEST OPTION IN ORDER TO MATCH THE EVEN TONE OF THE WORK.  THIS ARTWORK IS ON ARCHIVAL WATERMARKED ARCHES PAPER.  THERE ARE SMALL TRACES OF ADHESIVE ON THE VERSO FROM PRIOR ARCHIVAL HINGE FRAMING.
