HERE WE HAVE: A vintage Gucci purse! I tried doing some research to figure out when this purse is from and what style it is, but there's a lot of info out there and I just can't be certain! I'm sure someone more knowledgeable about designer bags can identify that (please let me know if you do!).
The bag feels to be very nice leather (buttery soft!) in a light brown/tan color. The clasp on the front is gold-tone metal with the double G logo in it. The bag has a gold tone chain strap. The strap is removable to use as a clutch.
There's one zippered pocket inside. The zipper pull is YKK brand and attached to it is a Gucci branded zipper pull. It is gold-toned and features the knight with two luggage pieces in his hands logo. I believe this logo was first introduced in the 1950s. Stamped above the pocket is another knight with luggage with "Italy" beneath it and "GUCCI" above. Across from the pocket there's a gold, stamped number, possibly a serial number(?); the number is "406 001-1306" or maybe "1506".
CONDITION: Acceptable, used condition! There are some scuffs and scratches to the leather on the outside of the purse. I don't know if conditioning the purse properly would help disguise these? I didn't try cleaning or treating it to avoid damage. Interior has some discoloration marks, particularly along the bottom corners/seams and along the bottom edge inside the pocket. All metal hardware has some surface scratches. Please see photos!
MEASUREMENTS: Purse measures approximately 10" wide and 6 1/2" from tall at the outside when laying flat. The purse sort of accordions to be bigger front-to-back, but when empty it is flat like a clutch.
