 You are looking at a rare 1950's era Stromberg Carlson 8CS model dynamic microphone based on the more common Turner dynamic 9D microphone with an all metal body and satin chrome finish. The riveted Stromberg badge shows it's early age and it comes with the period Electro Voice 423A desk stand shown. 

 This 8CS was set at High impedance which made it ideal for general broadcasting purposes but it should be noted that this microphone is no longer working though the original element is still inside. It should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only.

 This is the nicest 8CS I have ever come across and it will make a very nice addition to any vintage mic collection.

 The original black cloth is free on any rips or holes. The On / Off switch works flawlessly and would make a great mic if you plan on replacing the element. The satin chrome on this mic looks very nice showing lite wear. Zero dents or fractures as well. In pic # 8 there was some residue on the side of the mic that I didn't see until I took the pics. It wiped right off. This mic will screw on to any American desk or floor stand as well with it's universal mic stand threading though a stand is already provided.  

 I would give a this mic a very conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. 

 The mic is solid inside and out. It takes an older 5/8 X 27 Ampenol screw on cable which is not provided but these can be found here on Ebay.

 The stand is an older 1950's era E.V 423 A model. This is an all aluminum stand with a satin chrome finish and polished chrome stem / riser. This model was widely produced by Electro Voice during the 1950's through 1970's but this is the early variant with a two tier base. 

 This particular E.V stand has just lite wear as you can see. Tiny scratches and scuff marks. Some small pitting on one side but it's free of any dents. The satin chrome stem is very nice. Please let the detailed pictures be your guide. All 3 original rubber pads are included and will keep the stand from scratching any surface it sits on. Mic with stand is appx 11 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide. The stand makes a stable platform for this microphone.
