Lectures to Young Men by William G. Eliot, Published by Crosby, Nichols, Boston, MA, 1858, Seventh Edition.  Housed in a very early c1858/1859 brown paper dust jacket/wrapper that has been perfectly sealed around the book.  Either ssued by the publisher or wrapped by the original owner.  Regardless the wrapper was placed around the book sometime very shortly after the book was printed for a small tear in the front cover exposes a brand new cover underneath!

Jacket in Good overall condition.  Shows soiling and wear as well as a tear to the front cover and small piece detached but present to the inside flap.  Wrapper still sealed around the book.  Hand numbered in period ink on the spine and rear board edge.  The exterior of the book is in Fine/perfect condition.  The text block is clean with gentle wear and spotting.  Hinges free of cracking.  Period ink inscription from Warwick (MA) Sunday School Library On front fly page.  Strong and tight binding with all pages secured firmly.

Measures 7 1/4” x 4 3/4” x 1” thick.  190 pp.
