Offered for Sale is this Rare Beautiful Cast Iron Double Betty Lamp or Cruise Lamp - Whale Oil Lamp. The lamp likely dates back to the 18th C but I'm not a lighting expert and will leave it to the viewer to establish the date. I see no markings on the lamp and someone has converted the lamp to burn candle wax more recently. There is still a wick and orange candle wax in the lamp which I have made no attempt to remove. This Early Betty Lamp would be a Great Addition to any Antique Lighting Collection.
Size: - Top of spike to base 14 1/2" - Lamp Height without spike 7" - Lamp Width 2 3/8" - Lamp Length 4 3/4"
Condition: - Fair to Good Condition - The lamp displays scratching, staining, tarnish and wear from use. There is candle wax present in the lamp. Please see the pictures to view the condition of the item for yourself.
