Edmond Wolf Jr.'s quest for wildlife (born in 1971, Victoria, B.C.) led him to journey around Canada at the age of 18 in an effort to understand the various species roaming the forest tundra and ice floes. With a sketch pad and pencils as his only companions, the artist embraces the marvel of nature.
Moved by awesome experiences of his journey around Canada, Edmund set out to leave behind a personal legacy of his travels. Through these sculptures ranging from small rodents to large mammals, the artist has found the quintessential expression of his legacy, Working with a personally developed stone composition, the artist recreates his experiences. Each figurine is an original interpretation and is diligently crafted by hand.
