A Quechua bag chuspa is a bag used to carry coca and cocoa leaves, used primarily in the Andean region Highland textiles are traditionally woven from the hair of native camelids, usually domesticated alpacas and llamas, and more rarely, wild vicuña and guanaco. These bags are important symbols of social identity. As part of this tradition, the chuspas show the rest of their people how skilled they are at weaving. They can express their artistic skills and show their cultural affiliation by creating these chuspas. This chuspa is hand-woven and dyed with natural plants by artisans from the Andean community of Cusco.
