PLEASE NOTE: Due to agricultural restrictions, we do not ship plants to California.

Passiflora incarnata, generally known as Maypops, is grown both for its beautiful, fragrant lavender, purple, or pink flowers, and large, yellow/orange fruit (green in Florida). It is the most cold-hardy Passiflora that produces tasty fruit. It is not self-fertile, so you will need at least 2 plants to produce fruit. If you buy 2 or more plants from us at the same time, the plants we send you will be able to pollinate each other. Passiflora incarnata is also an important host plant for gulf fritillary and zebra longwing butterflies, so an essential addition to any butterfly garden. Maypops are North American natives, so they are fully winter hardy in zones 7-10 and parts of zone 6 with heavy mulch.

Small plants are starter plants between 5 and 15 inches tall or long in pots that are 2.5" square x 3.5" deep. Large plants generally have more than one growing shoot or branch, and are between 15 and 24 inches tall or long in pots that are 3.5" square x 5" deep.

All photographs used in our listings are our own, taken at our nursery or in the gardens where the parent plants are grown. This is so our customers know what they are getting, and can be sure that the plants perform as advertised. Permission is NOT granted to use our photographs for any commercial purposes.

PLEASE READ OUR RETURN/REFUND POLICY BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE: We are not able to offer a 14 day return policy for plants as we do for seeds and merchandise. We ship plants in excellent condition, Priority Mail, and we immobilize them in the box with packing peanuts. If, despite our best efforts, the plant arrives dead or broken due to some negligence on our part, we will refund the purchase price or send you a replacement. You must notify us of the problem within 3 days of delivery, and send substantiating digital photos. Once you have had the plant for longer than 3 days, its condition is no longer our responsibility.

Thank you for your purchase, and happy gardening!

Jim

(Please note: No shipping of plants to destinations outside of the U.S., and no shipping of Passiflora plants or seeds to Hawaii.)
