A very rare pair of W.P. & H. Stanton coin silver sugar tongs/nips in a Fiddle Shell pattern. Figural arms with shell-shaped bowls.

Monogrammed to terminal with engraved script "MLH"

Mark to the inside of one arm "W.P. & H. Stanton" into serrated oblong punch for William Penn and Henry Stanton. Made in Rochester, NY ca.1829-1841
