DESCRIPTION: Antique Chinese Sterling Carved Cross White Natural Jade No23 SYCEE Brooch Vintage
FEATURES: Beautiful Chinese Natural Jade Brooch. High relief sterling silver setting with a reticulated border of flowers and leaves. High profile white cream colored Nephrite carved Jade stone. I know very little of Chinese antiques or symbols, so please look at all the pics and ask questions prior to bidding. Antique jewelry marked NO23 Sycee was used as a type of currency in China until 1933. Acid tests for Sterling.
HALLMARKS: Signed NO23 in a cartouche SYCEE ornate signature in cartouche.
CONDITION: The Jade is translucent and in great condition, with no chips or cracks. Silver setting is functional with no problems.
SIZE: 1.65" x 1.20" x .53". Total weight is 16 grams.
