XB Extremeblaster Streetfighter exhaust polished stainless steel slip on shorty glass pack fitting 1997-2001 Triumph Daytona Speed Triple 955i/T595 stock header pipe (may also fit T509). Muffler assembly includes a bracket attachment to help steady pipe. This pipe delivers a deep tone with minimal distortion that is not excessively loud like other short after market pipes when used with the sound arrester and performs similar to other open end pipes on the market. The XB can be purchased with a sound arrester (not included in the base price above-see below) as shown in the photo to reduce decibels by 10-15 db and clean the tone with minimal distortion. The sound arrester helps to prevent lean out conditions at high rpm (snap, crackle, pop) by providing some back pressure (kit includes 4) tunable plates for tunability placed behind sound arrester releasing pressure for faster revs). Pipe is ready to bolt on to stock header and runs great with stock carburetors ( jetting may be required for maximum performance and eliminate backfire). This powder coating type is designed for optimum performance in harsh environments specific to motorcycle exhaust and other high temperature applications in outdoor environment. It has superior heat and corrosion resistance and has been tested to automotive specifications and meets or exceeds standards of performance for exhaust and muffler coatings. Heat resistance in excess of 1100 degrees and continuous testing for 48 hours at 800 degrees show this coating to hold its color, gloss and physical integrity at this service temperature. It should be noted this motorcycle exhaust should not exceed 500 degrees.This coating exceeds specifications for salt spray resistance testing. No blistering or rusting from scribe after 120 hours continuous testing. Passed a full battery of corrosion performance tests for automotive applications.
