BikeTek Lever Control Guards
Lever guards are installed on the levers, and are designed primarily to ensure safety by preventing the accidental engagement of the front brake lever during close riding, whether this is by accidental contact with another bike or another rider.
They are also used outside of race and track day settings in road travel, for example, to prevent wing mirror contact/damage.
After a new ruling from the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) on Brake and clutch levers it is now Essential for Brake Lever Guards to be fitted to your motorcycle on track days.
"Brake Lever Guards must be fitted. They must be robust, suitable for purpose and properly fitted."
Motorsport Vision:
"Effective from January 2021, any customer who books onto a bike track day at an MSV Circuit (see list below) - will be required to ensure that their bike is fitted with front brake lever guards. Any bike that is not fitted with these will not be permitted onto the track."
