This lovely Mirror weighs approximately 45 pounds, measures 35 ½” in total height, 49” in total width (crown), 44 ¼” in width (body) and 5” in depth. The beveled mirror glass alone measures 35 ¼” in width and 19 ¼” in height.
Lovely design details on this beautiful mirror exude elegance at its’ finest and include foliate, acorn, shell, vine, strawberry, leaf, dogwood flower, ribbon, basket-weave, and beaded elements. It is constructed of gold gilt wood and gesso that is in very good condition with only a few areas where the gold/ornamentation is worn as one would expect (please see e-Bay photos) and the beveled mirror glass is in overall excellent condition. It is absolutely lovely and, moreover, it is truly rare to find a large period Gold Gilt Victorian Mantle Mirror in such fantastic condition.
