26 years ago the unholy disaster began in Brussels, when ENTHRONED were spat onto this planet. With ''Cold Black Suns'', the 11th studio full lenght album was released in 2019 and the development that was announced 5 years earlier with ''Sovereigns'' will be continued. Not much has remained of the typical black metal blast only of the nineties and so these days the five musicians take up black metal, which through atmospheric peaks and progressive sound patterns has a different emphasis than two decades ago. But don't worry. It is true that nowadays they rely more than ever on flat, sustained riffs, which are supposed to bring atmosphere and variety into the other banging. Basically, these sections alternate with the expected attacks in typical MARDUK or DARK FUNERAL style. Consistency and straightforwardness are also on ENTHRONED's banner in 2019. Fans of the Belgians get what they know and appreciate. The silver vinyl edition here is limited to only 350 copies, packed in a chic gatefold cover & comes with an extra lyric sheet!
