This is tank raised in a reef tank and will be hand picked at time of purchase .Be CAREFULL when selecting your Gracilaria Hayi and you will want it to come from a reef tank system such as ours as to eliminate any chance of PARASITES /ICH/APTASIA contaminating your tank .Gracilaria Hayi cannot be dipped like Coral to kill harmfull parasites so there is the risk when you just drop in your tank or sump you are releasing parasites that will destroy your fish & coral ...  buy from a seller with a REEF system and don't be afraid to ask questions .. Do a Google search for saltwater PARASITES,ICH,APTASIA and you will see they can destroy a tank in days .

Application:

Upon receiving your package, float the unopened bag containing your new algae in the tank for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to allow the temperature to match up.  Then place the algae in your tank.  Gracilaria Hayi will not attach itself to rocks or substrate.  Please use rubber bands, glue rocks or a similar means to hold the algae in place.  Trim your algae periodically to directly remove the absorbed toxins from your water or use it as food for your herbivore fish.

Doa's will be refunded or replaced as long as contact is made within 3 hours of delivery with pictures.
