This wonderful 19th century story THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux, and has been the source of, I believe no less, than seven movies, dating back to the silent ones. It's a story that will be told for hundreds of years.

However, he was not the artist who so carefully placed color into the original engraving. The color is exact to the last detail. There are just endless details on which to focus.
