Hello and welcome to the house of Chrome.

 You are looking at an older and hard to come by Astatic gooseneck (model AGN-13) that comes with a 9 foot cable and male Switchcraft 1/4 inch end connector.

 This unique adapter set up allows you to get extra reach with any XLR microphone you might happen to have. 

 The chrome finish on the Gooseneck looks extremely nice with zero wear.

 Simply screw the 13 inch flexible gooseneck onto most any desk or floor stand you have. It will screw onto any boom arm as well. Before the gooseneck has been attached you will have to run the male 1/4 inch end connector through the tube of your stand and allow it to exit out the bottom of your stand or boom arm. Then you'll have ultra flexibility and can get any angle needed for your microphone. You'll see in pics 5 - 9 how this works. While this set up will work with no issues on a floor stand and boom arm...you'll want to use a very heavy desk stand if it's applied to one. The gooseneck with mic will be very top heavy so you'll want to use a desk stand with a heavy cast iron base or a base that is very wide. Otherwise your desk stand will tip over easily.

 The gooseneck has a vintage Switchcraft female adapter / connector on the top of the gooseneck that allows you to mount your favorite mic. It screws onto the mic and holds firm once secured.

 The cable is soft, pliable and runs right through the gooseneck and exits out an exit hole at the bottom of the gooseneck so that it's well hidden from view. Simply connect the 9 foot cable to any audio equipment you are using or use another longer 1/4 inch cable for  extra length.

 The cable is freshly soldered. This adapter will really do you justice and the rigid gooseneck won't sag as it's very firm. No issues.
