This is for the ownership of the actual 35 mm slide, not the copyright of the image, which still belongs to the photographers or their assignees. In most cases the copyright is noted on the slide - the slide holder, not the transparency. In some cases it's blacked out. They came this way.  If this is a problem, don't purchase the slide. This is a great opportunity to own unique and some never before seen slides of Hollywood and celebrity history.
