We are delighted to offer this very rare MCM Chribska Glassworks sommerso vase designed by Josef Hospodka of the Czecho Republic. This striking piece features a gorgeous floral form, with four thick and deep ribs; and beautifully sculpted lines and recesses. A very bold, alluring design. It measures approximately 15” high x 7.5” diameter and is gently used with faint surface blemishes consistent with age and use.

Chribska glassworks, founded in the early fifteenth century, stayed in production until the 1970s. In 1882 it was bought by the Mayer family. Chribska became part of the Borske Sklo National Corporation during the 1950's. Chief designer at this time was Josef Hospodka, who specialized in sculptural blown glass designs.
