This is a Makassar SaRaiFo* Board with irregular black and white stripes. This wood is pressed from many fine real wood veneer lamellas in several production processes/surface glued (E1) and then sawn into this board (plank).

The board is only in the raw cut, one side is a little pre-planed and smoother, one side is still very slightly rough (nevertheless a very smooth saw cut - but every now and then a rough spot can still occur , thickness may vary +/-0.5 mm...), width varies between approx. +/- 21.0 -21.5 cm, rather more black/white than yellowish, dimensions are maximum dimensions, medium-hard, dry, approx. +/-13%, edges are cut straight.  Weight about 850kg/m3.  This material is only available in rough cut and serves as the starting material for many different projects, and still needs to be finished and processed. At the ends the wood has been protected from cracks with a green wood preservative, sometimes this green color can also be on the board itself, these spots can be sanded off. In order to have the best possible smooth surface, it is recommended to sand the wood a little anyway.  

Areas of application: Bow handles, Actionwood, furniture, worktops, decorative wood, shelves, strips, handles, instrument parts, jewellery, turning, possibly tonewood substitutes,... and many more individual areas. This SaRaiFo Wood can be used as an ebony Macassar Ebony wood substitute.
