This sharp hand painted Original Animation Production 12 Field Cel from Chuck Jones Production features Bugs Bunny at the piano (piano not in picture) from the made for TV short "Bugs and Daffy's Carnival of Animals" released in 1976 with art from Chuck Jones & writers Chuck Jones & Ogden Nash (Poems).  Yet another classic film by Jones.  This cel scene is from one of many musical scenes from the film with Bugs at the piano in musical play. This film was made in association with Warner Brothers of course, but produced during a very prolific period for Chuck Jones during the mid 1970's.  He made a number of TV specials during this era including others such as three made for TV films by Jones from "The Jungle Book".  "The White Seal" 1975 & "Mowgli's Brothers" 1976 & Rikki Tikki Tavi 1975.  He also did "A Cricket in Times Square" & it's sequel, "Yankee Doodle Cricket" & more.  We have cels listed or to be listed from those films as well.  There will also be other Warner Brother's cels with Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote & more.

These authentic cels are getting tougher to find as time goes by due to growing collector interest in this collecting genre & hobby.  The cel has some light scratches on surface but is in excellent+ condition, but not quite mint (not that many cels are), but the matte has a little ding at lower right as shown in pictures.  We think that could be corrected by shaving the cardboard a bit and touching up with some white paint, but we left it as we acquired it.  Please review all pictures taken to assist you with determining condition & use zoom feature if needed, but it looks terrific.  This is firmly matted & suitable for framing if you choose. The last pictures in gallery kind of highlights the artwork by catching the drawn outline on outer surface, the inner surface of layers are painted.

This is a fairly rare cel, but not as rare as our two layered ones for sale in our store, so we are pricing it at a much lower price. The background color is on the matting board. We are pricing this under what we feel is a fair value given it's appeal & rarity and below most listed or sold of this quality.  Prices on these authentic pieces can sometimes go to more than double & triple our listing price, but we encourage buyers to do their own research on such and not rely on our opinion.  If you decide to buy more than one of our listed cels by Chuck Jones, let us know and we may offer a discount on multi item purchase.  Stay tuned for more!

The collector we acquired this work from had literally hundreds of rare production cel pieces from various works by Jones, many in consecutive series, which we have personally not seen much outside of a studio sale 20 years ago perhaps.  This has a Chuck Jones Production mark on lower left of cel & a standard COA Paper that came with this when purchased.  This are nicely matted & shows slots in matte at bottom from production, which we actually prefer as well as series #'s from the film.

Chuck Jones (Sept 21, 1912 - Feb 22, 2002) is among the elite of the elite cartoon artists & film innovators in history.  If you are looking at this listing, you likely already know this.  In his extensive career he created such characters as the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Pepe LePew, & Marvin the Martian (and others) as well as helping refine the characters of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig & more along the way.  Each of these hand painted cels are from an animation artist's hand & a part of cartoon film history.  We feel the collecting of Authentic Animation Art is truly one of the neatest collectible genres.  Not only do you get a piece of a gifted artist's work, each piece is part of a living history of the movies and films they were used in & they make exceptional display items.  It's a bit like owning a World Series game used bat from a baseball player, at least we feel that way. But in this case the World Series never ends as the cartoons keep playing and playing.

We have dozens of these original Chuck Jones Animation Cels coming to market in next few weeks.  We will sell some in bundles or series & others as individual pieces, but all will offer something special. We even have many in small sequences (running production numbers), extremely hard to find.  We have Bugs Bunny, Tucker the Mouse, Wile E Coyote & many characters from Rikki Tikki Tavi, A Cricket in King Arthur's Court, White Seal, Carnival of Animals & more.

Please Note: There may be some image reflection & distortion present in pictures as cels are  plastic (or acetate) & reflective of course.  (In some cases, we may photograph artwork in different light settings to try and capture a painting, sculpture or other artwork's look in different settings.  Therefore there may be some variations in color from one picture to another.  The photos are not altered, but may have been photographed in a brighter room, with natural light, a flash feature or other.  Also, we try to note any visible defects we can see but there may be wear or imperfections we miss.  Please view all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom feature if needed.  Likewise, you can always notify us with questions.)

Please Read: See our Feedback & Buy with confidence.  We ship with extreme care and all items are fully insured!  We often take from 30-90 minutes packing more delicate & odd sized items to make sure your treasure is protected.  We also photograph most items above $100 while packing in case a shipper were to ever damage an item (only 1  time in over 2,000 US shipped sales).  For this reason, if an item is ever damaged, it will be the Buyer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping service and we can provide photos from packing to assist Buyers.  The process is not difficult, but the timing of such does not allow adequate time for the item to be returned to us and then for us to proceed with a claim (chain of custody questions can arise as well on returned items due to double shipping and handling so it is just easier for Buyers).  So again, as noted in listing, we do not offer returns.  Sales tax is charged according to your state or country's regulations.  Of course, there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through.  We do this often.

We require signature confirmation your item if it is above $100, so plan accordingly. We can send without signature confirmation if you request, but if item is marked delivered, but comes up missing, buyer would assume all responsibility for loss, as insurance will not cover items without signature confirmation.  Also, FedEx & Others are beginning to require signature on items above $500-$700.  Also, we have discounts with FedEx & eBay on shipping which do not always show up in eBay estimates on shipping. We try to refund what we can when there is a notable difference, but we do not know until we actually process the shipping order.
