Lovely item from the early 19th century at least. Made from a heavy bronze /brass alloy. Some wear but still in great condition with deep relief. Very pleasing to behold. 6 cm square or 2 1/2 inches (also about 5mm thick) and with very fine definition. It depicts I believe the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary surrounded by her family and God the Father above. Probably Ukrainian or Russian but definitely an Eastern Orthodox travel icon of some age.
