Lovely Dolphin style handles and the decoration is very organic. It is painted with an earthy color palette and has a grape vine design. There are several manufacturing and artist marks on the base .
Size: 6 1/2" high and 4" in wide including the handles.
Detail Description:This beautiful early Amphora is hand painted in such a pretty design and attractive ornate handles adding to its charm. The colors with the stylized dolphin handles are enchanting.
Condition: In good condition. Hand painted shows minimal signs of wear. This is a very early piece, very good condition for the age. The minor flaws are almost unnoticeable, and does not detract from how well this piece displays. The base has two small flakes, there is one on the dolphin ear and a small area without glaze on the surface - please see photos for condition.
This piece so beautifully painted with a decoration is very rich and elegant . The various elements and pronounced relief would make a handsome one for your collection.
