George Mutch. A rare opportunity to purchase a signature for a former Manchester United pre-war player. This is a postcard size reproduced picture of George Mutch the Manchester United footballer. The original item was cigarette card, the picture has been mounted on red card and the signature laid beneath the image. The signature is genuine, an original hand autograph of George Mutch that I personally obtained some years ago when I used to write to George. George Mutch played 120 games for Manchester United between 1934 and1938, scoring an impressive 49 goals. Mutch played just once for Scotland in 1938. George passed away in March2001.
