I use no oiled equipment to cut /process this wood at all.
Your avg size stick it 7-9" long x approx 3/4" +- thick.
Not burnt to death where you have trash all in your product and it turns black.
Gotta hate that right?
My sticks are big enough to keep you from making the mistake of sticking them straight into the bottle. Ya can't get a swelled stick back out can.
If your doing a bottle at a time I rec a 1/2 gal mason jar or something that will hold an entire 5th worth.
Then use a coffee filter to get any particulate out and enjoy!

You can re-use these - simply burn 'em again. Use the same product of course - ya don't want to get off flavors from one to the next.
