Alesis Vintage Synthesizers and Classic Beatboxes QCard !!! Now includes LIFETIME Warranty !!!
WORKS with ALL QS models, including the QSR, QS7, and QS8 !!! NOTE - this card works in BOTH Slots of the QSR, QS7, and QS8 !!!
No Longer Made by Alesis
The Alesis Vintage Synthesizers QCard is in excellent cosmetic and working condition. Also included are the original Alesis Instruction Booklet/Patch Charts and the Protective Jewel Case.
Note that this card has been Refurbished and is guaranteed to be in excellent working condition, with a LIFETIME warranty. QCards are comprised of several primary components - the Outer Casing, the 68 Pin PCMCIA Connector, and a Circuit Board containing many electronic components including Flash Memory Chips, ASICs, Transistors, Capacitors, and a primary Controller Chip. My Refurbished QCards have had at least one or more of these components replaced to guarantee that the card meets (or exceeds) the original factory specifications. My "refurbishing" process actually makes this card more rugged than a standard QCard!
Note regarding my Price Increases and new lead times:
I invested a ridiculously large sum of money about 10 years ago for a large stock of QS compatible Flash RAM, but a few months ago I was fast approaching the day that I would be completely out of stock. Not all Linear Flash RAM is compatible with the Alesis QS Synthesizers, and the QS compatible RAM required to make my refurbished QCards has gotten extremely difficult to find. So I was faced with closing down my Alesis QCard business once my stock run out, or searching for a new source and re-investing in new stock. After several months of research, I found that most sources of QS compatible RAM were charging MORE for the RAM alone than I was charging for a completely refurbished card, not even including my cost of printing the Booklets. I managed to find one source willing to sell me ALL of their available stock at a price that was fairly reasonable compared to all the other sources, but was still considerably higher than I had paid 10 years ago and was too high to maintain my current pricing structure.
So I was faced with a dilema - continue selling until I depleted my current stock and then close down my QCard business altogether, OR - make another major investment in stock that would require me to raise pricies across the board. Against my better judgement, I re-invested in new stock, and instead of passing on the entire price inrease of this new stock, I cut my profit margin considerably in order to try and keep my QCards affordable.
My QCard business has always been more of a "hobby" than a business because the profit margin has never been very high (and there is a LOT of labor required to make a quality refurbished QCard). I've run this business more out of my love for the QS series synths and my desire to help QS owners get the most from their QS synth investment - and as a way for me to purchase the "latest" recording gear, software and keyboards without getting hassled by the wife! But with my new profit margins, this is now "officially" a hobby - so please keep this in mind - my lead time to make and ship a refurbished card used to be approximately 3 days but will now be closer to a week. But the good news is, I WILL be continuing to offer my extremely high quality refurbished QCards!
If you are looking for any other QCards or Quadracards, feel free to e-mail me through eBay and let me know what you are looking for. Because I also buy and trade QCards, I always have a decent inventory of good used cards in stock at any given time - so it is best to e-mail me for price and availability for any other cards you may be interested in. Note that if my ad specifies "refurbished" then at least one (or more) of the primary components has been replaced, but if the ad does NOT specify "refurbished" then the auction is for a good condition used QCard, NOT a "refurbished" card.
SPECIAL NOTE: This card works in BOTH SLOTS of the QSR, QS7, and QS8 models.
This card works in ALL SLOTS in the following synths:
The 8 Megabyte Vintage Synthesizers and Classic Beatboxes QCard contains the groovy synth sounds and lo-fi drum hits from the dawn of the age of electronic music. All of your favorite analog synthesizers from the late '60s through the mid '80s are represented in their best form. You can expect the classic fat, warm and rich waveforms that VCO-based synths provided in their heyday. You'll also get long resonant filter sweeps as well as cool bandpass and highpass filtered waves. Additionally, you'll get a great collection of your all-time favorite drum machines as well as examples of rare machines that let you stand out from the crowd. Whether you're performing rock songs, composing period-piece film scores or adding smooth sounds to hip hop, techno or R&B tunes, this card is the real thing for vintage synths and electronic drums.
This QCard's superior sonic quality comes from 16-bit, 48kHz linear, master-quality samples and state-of-the-art synthesizer voicing. Its massive eight megabytes of sound ROM contain hundreds of carefully-recorded samples that are compatible with all Alesis QuadraSynth and QS Series synthesizers.
The Vintage Synthesizers and Classic Beatboxes QCard contains 128 Programs and 100 multitimbral Mixes.

NOTE: I believe in fair shipping fees, but due to constantly changing US Postal Rate changes, I have had to raise my shipping fees accordingly. I securely pack my cards using cardboard inserts and bubble packs, and the Post Office NO LONGER ships these packages at the letter rate. And they ALSO keep drastically changing international rates. I try to keep my shipping rates up to date with the USPS changes, and my current shipping fees are $5.50 via US First Class Mail in the continental US which includes tracking. Worldwide shipping is no longer a flat rate, the rate will change based on your country. I have found the current rates to range from around $13.00 to $18.00, depending on country. I try to keep my rates constant and fair but their frequent rate changes keep forcing me to adjust my shipping rates. International First Class Mail does NOT include Tracking. The ONLY USPS International Shipping Method that includes Tracking is Priority Express, which runs about $63, which is ridiculously expensive. But if you are an International customer and want Tracking, Priority Express is your ONLY available option. PayPal accepted. | Any questions? Feel free to contact me. |
