See photos and ask questions before bidding.  Did  not test.  Sold as is with no warranty.  Nice addition to a toy without a bulb.  Marked "GAS" on each side and both sides shown in photos.  No return unless mis-represented and a 100% feedback score.  Shipping will be insured.  I'm no expert so this might not be a MARX item.  Not marked by any maker.  Fit of base seems to be the common American size base for small bulbs. Metal base is marked, as I see it, "1.5V Japan".
