Condition:
Binding tight and square. Original full-bound cloth boards present nearly clean and unmarked with only a few light smudges. Moderate wear to corners and edges with creasing to top front fore-edge corner. Partial loss of title to spine with moderate wear to head and foot. Small stain to bottom text block; otherwise clean. Top-stain well preserved. Internally clean and unmarked. Pen-sized impression to half-title through copyright page. Original dust jacket presents fairly well. Several open and closed tears to edges with chipping and loss to corners and head and foot of spine. About two-inch closed tear to front panel and scuff near hinge with partial loss. Hinges show heavy wear with some open tears to rear. Toning to spine with tear at center running laterally. Flaps age-toned at edges. Original price of $3.00 not clipped. A fairly nice example.
