Casio EG-800STD-S

No longer a new design by any means, the Casio Cassiopeia EG-800 is an industrial-strength version of Casio original Cassiopeia E-125 multimedia Pocket PC. A tougher case provides a degree of splash resistance and shock absorption which makes the device well suited for business and light industrial applications. Though it also goes back several generations of microprocessors, the EG-800's 150MHz VR4122 processor provides adequate performance. The transmissive TFT display is the large (3.8 inches diagonal) and very bright TFT Casio used in all of its original multimedia Pocket PCs. What sets the EG800 apart is an innovative power system that lets you select from three different Snap-On Lithium-Polymer battery packs that provide up to 15 hours of continuous use. Lacking an ARM-based processor or Flash ROM, the EG-800 cannot be upgraded to newer versions of the Pocket PC OS. If this is not an issue, the EG-800 remains a good choice.
