Original WW2 (1943) German LUFTWAFFE Map entitled "SIBIU" (HERMANNSTADT in German) which features a stretch of the ROMANIAN / HUNGARIAN border.
It's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" which is equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map.
Printed in December 1943.
The Luftwaffe usage is demonstrated by the large numbered 'over grid' typical of a 'FLIEGERAUSGABE'. (This word would normally be seen in the top left corner of this series, and roughly translates to 'Aviation Edition'.)
In great condition.
Excess margins have apparently been trimmed at some point in its history.
From a large collection recently sold off by Edinburgh University - hence ink stamping to margin. (Following both World Wars, the government distributed excess stocks of Allied maps, along with captured enemy examples, to various national institutions such as libraries, museums, universities etc.)
